Goal Setting Day 2016

Wednesday 9th March 2016

Wellington College will hold its fourth Goal Setting Day on Wednesday, 9 March 2016. This day has become extremely important in the life of the College and is an excellent opportunity for giving the students an academic focus for the year. We have been heartened by the level of support that previous Goal Setting Days have received and the value parents and caregivers have placed on the day.

For those of you who are new to Wellington College, the focus for this conference will be an opportunity for students to set goals in partnership with both parents and the school. We hope to enable students to take more control of their learning through monitored self-management, and for them to see opportunities for participating and contributing to their own learning.

These goals will be entered in our Student Management System (KAMAR) which will be viewable via the Parent Portal. The progress that your son makes towards achieving these goals will also be viewed here.

Please click on the appropriate letter below for an explanation of the day from the Headmaster, Mr Moses.

I believe this to be a critical day in the life of your son at Wellington College. Please go to http://www.schoolinterviews.co.nz and enter in code 3HCTH to book an interview time for your son. You will need to know your son’s Tutor Class code to make your booking. International Students must use the Tutor Class code International, as their appointments will be with teachers from the International Department rather than their Tutor Teacher.

Please click here if you require a letter for your Employer.

I have also attached a letter which you might find useful to give this to an employer which explains the purpose of the day.

Your son is expected to attend the interview and will, therefore, take you to the correct room.

We look forward to working with you and your family during 2016.

Yours sincerely

Roger Moses
